I agree with your observations about this person. She gives planning seminars all over the New York City tri-strate area with someone she calls "the silver fox". Hearing her tout them, you get the feeling people go to those seminars and come out of them with empty wallets. Sounds like one of those sharks that swims 24 hours a day looking to take a bite out of the nearest wallet! Making matters worse, she claims to be a lawyer - from my viewpoint, that's another red flag !

Despite the "scams", IMO Adriane Berg still provides some good advice - in particular in her newsletter . Her explanations of the tax law/IRAs/estate planning, etc. are worth reading.

One can still learn something from knowledgable people - even those touting "scams". I just ignore the shills and listen for the sounder advice. I think there's much more of it than not.

Just one man's opinion.
