What I believe the futures mkt has discounted is a 5% gold reserves, and a 10% would be "considered" friendly and therefore might encourage pro shorters to begin lifting hedges a little quicker.

To think that the % might be even closer to 20% is indeed supportive and why I was yeeeeehawin'...

Yes, I saw the gold AND gross dollar reserves, but do some algebra/trig/calculus, or something...

The facts we know are:
existing NBB gold in tonnes...
returned gold from EMI reserves
and 20% number equals a+b...
a=gold
b=dollars
203 tons were off=loaded in 96...in order to get back the 40.xyz returned from EMI

Now let me know what % you come up with...
I'm no algebra gee-whiz...I always left that up to the guys in my class(grin)
