and of course these events, being a little strange, does make one wonder if the straight dope is being issued by the government or is it possible they tell convenient lies.

It's easiest when you are predisposed to believe that the government will lie to you at any moment. I feel that way when I listen to Trump. This event is interesting to me because of the plane crash AND the heart failure. If this is a conspiracy why would they cause BOTH the plane crash and the cardiac arrhythmia? Wouldn't a plane crash expect to kill everyone? Why not keep it simple and give her a drug to cause the arrhythmia while she was at home? Why involve all the others? If she was drugged, she might have died before the crash. Why take that chance?
In the water, Fuddy held hands with Health Department deputy director Keith Yamamoto as he tried to help her relax, said Rev. Patrick Killilea, who consoled Yamamoto after the ordeal. "He recounted how he said he helped Loretta into her life jacket and he held her hand for some time," the Kalaupapa priest said last month. "They were all floating together and she let go and there was no response from her."

I take it she was under some stress, and a big part of it could have been the crash itself for the 65 year old woman. How much critical thinking should we apply to these stories?
