Here is what someone sent to me as the way for Bitcoin holders to get Bitcoin cash.

You have to recreate your btc wallet in the bch universe.
Step 1: move your btc to another wallet. (This is a safety measure)
Step 2: down load software for a bch wallet. (this site lists some bitcoincash.org
Step 3: create a new bch wallet USING THE SEED PHRASE FROM YOUR OLD BTC WALLET THAT NO LONGER HAS FUNDS IN IT
Step 4: get into that wallet and see your BCH
