The July 25th WSJ interview transcript has the President praising Mooch highly:

TRUMP: "But I’m very happy with Anthony. I think Anthony is going to do amazing"

Less than a week later he is summarily walked out of the WH. He had Kelly fire him for him.

Couldn't be more chaotic if he was running a reality show entitled White House Survivor with someone guaranteed to be voted off the island every week.
