Hi Slum,

when I was commenting on the value thread in January 2016... AMZN and GOOGL were 2 stocks that I
particuarly held out as great stocks to hold.

on a positive note
AMZN and GOOGL are amazing companies for the long term ..... how do compete with AMZN

AMZN was selling for $550 or so and GOOGL was selling for $700

AMZN has come close to doubling and I was advocating it as a great long term holding.

Message 30407791

I have over the past 20 years advocated being in tech stocks, silver and gold stocks, and an array of other stocks that have appreciated by several hundred %

so since your message on AMZN is a little cryptic...............take a look at my post and tell me with a
straight face that I was not bullish on AMZN in early 2016.

As readers of this thread and several others that I participate in...... I am not an in and out trader, especially when it comes to stocks.

and after my long and wondering respond..... I now realized that you were providing a link to

the famed worked ...... Extraordinary Popular Delusions and The Madness of Crowds Paperback – October 22, 2013

so I misunderstood your post... but still want it to be noted that I was bullish on AMZN $500 a go.

The Extraordinary Popualar Delusions book is really mandatory reading for everyone and it can be had for free as a PDFdownload on Google Books.

there is a tremendous amount of excellent material in the book.

John

I really wonder if the use of AI and so much programmed trading, along with the concentrated use of ETF is changing the theme of the book.
