"A good medical Dr will always talk to you about what is going on in life before prescribing a treatment." My father, the surgeon, told me that anybody could cut, but the good ones knew when not to. I later saw that in action, when my son injured his knee playing soccer. His teammates said "we need you back; get surgery", but Doc was saying, "knee brace plus physical therapy." It worked.
