Humbly report, because the bug reaches far and wide - from PCs to mainframe computers to embedded systems chips used in date-aware equipment - it's simply not possible to build a single fix for all problems. One way or another, the bug can be fixed - either by replacement or by working through millions of lines of code and altering the date formats - but tracking down where the bug lives and then remedying the situation is a slow and often mind-numbingly boring process. year2000.co.nz Can't be a more mind-numbingly boring process than reading posts by some kid on this thread, can it?
