Worswick,

"I am trying to find a Korean telephone company to follow: that might be like Phillipine Long Distance some years ago, or the Mexican phone company in 1982. "

Have you looked at SKM?

Thanks very much indeed for the thoughtful and informed comments. What you say seems to me the most intelligent commentary I have seen on the Korean market. That's a first-rate idea to look for a Korean telephone company--though as I understand it for most individual stocks you have to buy ADRs that are priced at twice their Korean home value. Is that correct? But the comparison with the Mexican and Phillipine phone companies warrants attention. I still remember how I marveled at why John Templeton was recommending the Mexican phone company, which has appreciated tenfold since then.

Hope you will post all further thoughts.
