'ATML CEO states on CNBC that ATML must buy next generation semi equipment and that companies that have that technology will do well.' Mark Haines the host of CNBC has previously stated that he is shareholder of amat and coducted this interview. The ATML CFO stated that there would be less capital expenditure on equipment then he wants for the near future until the market settles down. So Mark ask if this would hurt the semi-conducter makers in the near future. The CFO then said that they are caught in a transition period to the next generation and would need to spend to survive.
