Longnshort, don't be naive the wash post and the ny times would have looked up/made up anything like how he gave a nuggie in grade school I remember when McCain was the "moderate maverick" of the Senate GOP. He even co-led a coalition of senators who averted the "nuclear option" when it came to judicial appointees (an option that later Sen. Reid invoked without blinking an eye). But when McCain ran for president, all of a sudden he was the little warmongering general who was itching for a fight. The press was relentless in painting McCain as an ultra right-wing hawk and a symbol of everything that is wrong with "white America." Seems quaint now with Donald Trump as president ... Tenchusatsu
