Effect of inclusion in TSE indices kicking in?

Very interesting to see CGI volume on TSE today. Normally, the trading on the MSE dwarfs that on the TSE. Today there were 238 trades for 208k shares on the MSE while there were 5 trades on the TSE for 40K shares. Suggests retail buying in Montreal and institutional buying in Toronto?

At any rate, I don't ever recall Toronto's volume being anywhere near 25% of all shares traded on a day.

To BM & all, JP Morgan did a study and put out a great piece back in May/97 on the Y2K problem. It's a 17 pager but well worth the read.
Noteworthy in the artical is a statement -
"Cost is NOT the largest problem however - time and people are the scarcest resources. Compliance will represent a resonably close call for everyone, but corporate and governmental entities not yet currently mobilized and actively working on the problem are already in deep trouble."
