Don: you probably have a system, but you just can't define it. If you have been trading for years you MUST have been repeating certain functions consistently........................................... IMHO;)

Well Don, I watch the tape daily, yet I don't see that it is a reproduceble means of trading. The touch/feelly type of trading from the belief that you can see something by watching tick by tick, is truly a trick. The secret to that trick shouldn't be learned with hard earned money. If the tape reader could actually describe what he sees and how decisions are made, he woild do a service to others. For a 5min chart, I suggest people look at a 89 EMA or a MACD(13,34,89) But can't guarantee you will be told to close out at the end of the day.

Hi Don, I understand what you say when you say just watch, as I used to edit in front of a screen and had to be fast, however I'm new at this game, still cannot understand what is the best "system configuration" to adopt. What trader and quote service to use seems to be the million dollars question, but what is acceptable at this time? Does one need a level II trader, and which one is a decent one? Sorry for all the questions, I just think I understand your language more than I can understand all the other talk. thanks Guglielmo
