I believe the gold is down quite a bit because Korea is selling some of its gold - correct me if I'm wrong. Does this not prove that gold is important as a security measure in case the currency does not hold up? Once investors realise this gold will shoot back up again.

I do not know why silver is down so much today. That is a puzzle to me.

ANZ cannot control the outside forces, but all it can do now is to carry on with its normal business until these negative forces go away.

P.S. - I wonder if we're in the beginning of a bear market that could last about 2 years because of so many negative forces happening at once. North America is not immune to the problems that exist beyond its borders, and the baby boomers in North America may not be enough to contain the Asian and other problems.
