Alex -

Thanks for posting.

I read this thing 10 times at work. It is VERY CONFUSING.
BUT IT IS A *GOOD* confusion.

Here is what I mean:

With respect to 1997:
---------------------
We are at """Reported Earnings - YTD""" of $1.21.

They say, ...
"although reported earnings could exceed $1.40"

Okay - we can do this -> $1.40 - $1.21 =

.19 of """Reported Earnings""" for the 4th quarter.

Trust me, we "know" what fixed costs are for the 4th,
we "know" what the GM% is, we "know" what the fee
payments are - the only variable left is Product Sales.

My 2 cents:to hit $0.19 you have to do $7,300 in
Product Sales. That, sir, is a big number!

And please note, "our" P&L hits their $0.11 *exactly* if I change
the $1,000 license fee to -0- and use $7,300 in Product
Sales.

I realize the rest of the post is a blast too, but I just
chickened out a week ago and forecast 4th quarter product
sales of $5,600. Duh!

Regards and Enjoy!

John
