Mark:

PureVoice was recently incorporated by Apple into its QuickTime product. I don't know how significant this endorsement from Apple is as Apple (and QuickTime) do not have the clout they used to(IMHO). From what I understand PureVoice is a speech compression scheme for streaming audio on wireless networks. Currently RealAudio is the frontrunner on the Net(though not wireless). I don't know if companies will go for another streaming specification unless QCOM can demonstrate tangible benefits.
