MEDIAX SHIPS "PETER NORTON -- PC GURU," REPORTS STRONG RETAIL INTEREST; Retailers Include Staples, Comp USA, Best Buy, Computer City And Others

Culver City, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--January 8, 1998--MediaX Corporation MXMX today announced it has begun shipping "Peter Norton -- PC Guru" to mass market retailers including Staples, Comp USA, Best Buy, Computer City; major catalog house Tiger Direct; and distributors SoftKat and Major Connections.

An initial shipment was made on Dec. 29, 1997 and will be booked as deferred revenue in the quarter ended December 31. Product manufacturing and shipping has been ramped up and will continue in January, and the Company anticipates signing and fulfilling several new retail and distribution agreements in the days and weeks ahead to meet increasing retail interest.
