Seems Dell would save themselves money to just send you a new one.

I read a story about Cyrus McCormick, the harvester mogul. A farmer was complaining that his new reaper didn't work. Mr. McCormick himself went out to look at it. He took off his jacket and picked up his tools and went to work. After 4 hours he threw down his wrench and yelled "This one is a lemon, send him a new one."

If Dell won't replace the computer, insist on a CPU replacement. After all you got the computer in the first place to get the I7 processor if I remember correctly.

Dell started the repair and they should finish it till the computer works.

This may not be your style but if everything fails, you may want to try packing everything up and hauling it to the Costco return desk. They will do just about anything to keep an unhappy AND somewhat loud customer happy.
