No wishing here. All we can do is observe and evacuate.
This is the first major hurricane (cat 3 or better) to hit the USA in 12 years. (Provided it hits as a Cat 3).
Joe Bastardi predicted it will hit as a high Cat 2. He's pretty good so we shall see.
Just wondering why we haven't seen more Cat5's hitting the US since global warming has the SST abnormally high. Must be other factors. Buffering of some sort.

The fastest wind I can find clinking around the eye on Harvey is like 130 km/hr (approx 81 mi/hr). Humm. Wunderground saying 120 mi/hr
