but just read elsewhere that a guy did a similar thing for a medical device as a temp til they got a real voiceover person. Now, 15 years later, they still using the same voice

Newer technology wouldn't necessitate a new voice. They already use her voice in ways she never spoke. As long as the voice remains pleasant to all our ears, the likelihood of changing it will be remote. Can you just imagine the UPROAR if a new Siri suddenly began answering our requests?
