In response to the weapons manufacuring sector several thoughts:

Keynesian economics.
The Military Industrial Complex (as in "beware of" and The WPA).
Natures way of finding balance.

ALL NA/Eur. markets closed in the red today.

Based on the Yahoo world indices table.
What is more disconcerting is that 21 of the 27 markets listed (78%) showed losses greater than 1%.

We do indeed live in interesting times.
