Reporting back on a slowdown problem with Firefox on Windows 10. After doing some research, I opened CCleaner and went to tools/browser plugins. I then researched a couple of plugins that didn't look familiar.
Then I disabled 'UBlock Origin' which I never installed and also 'Pocket' which I never use. Then I closed everything and restarted the computer. Firefox now seems much faster. So, fingers crossed, the Firefox lag problem seems to be solved. (I use other blockers and security extensions so UBlock seemed superfluous.)
