when such workarounds are systemically disallowed and punished as a rule by the rule-makers, the result could be firstly the tee-ing up of alt-politicians that rile up the system with the aim of severely-bettering it, iow, collapsing it, or, eventually, anything worse.

the greeks arguably have got it right.
