The water at the end of our block has disappeared. The sun came out this afternoon. It hasn't rained here since this morning. This doesn't mean we won't get more rain, but water levels are falling, not rising.

Businesses in the area are still restricted and you can't go too far in any direction on the roads without running into water on the road. That may change if the rain in this area holds off.

As of this afternoon, the rain has moved east of my area to Kingwood and beyond to Beaumont. And there's an area in the southwest where a levee was overwhelmed and a subdivision flooded. The things we see on the news are the worst areas.

I 45 in the northwest is open from Spring to the Woodlands.
