Likely help the debt issue too. But, I worry since we are so far into the recovery. Odds are against a continue strong economy going much longer if we are to learn from the lessons of the past. I would like to see corporate taxes come down - but not so much personal income tax. But Trump has hurt his chances to get these things done as he has pissed so many people in congress off.

Not so much with Social Security

Indexing earnings
When we compute a person's benefit, we use the national average wage indexing series to index that person's earnings. Such indexation ensures that a worker's future benefits reflect the general rise in the standard of living that occurred during his or her working lifetime.
