Gary,

I notice that Strandberg if from Fairbanks, Alaska. Is he making his inferred resource estimate solely from figures forwarded to him, or a visit to the cite? Does it matter? Do these calculations have any reputation for reliability? ( I notice that there is a cautionary note regarding these estimates?) Do you know anything about him? Thanks for any input.

Mike

Whoa! What does it take into account?!? BTW, just read a(nother) nice book about Gold Rush towns; Grass Valley, "In more than a century of mining, has turned up in upwards of $100 million in gold." (Remember, most of that is mid-1800 value). Grass Valley is also noted as "still the greatest mining city in the far west." Another funny factoid (as long as I'm on this kick) is that it is estimated that half the towns of the Gold Rush were found(ed) by a guy chasing his stray donkeys! (You can't make that stuff up, let's hope that the BCMD'ers were using a bit more advanced technology when they found the virgin areas)
