Jim, It sort of makes sense. Anyone order a DELL thru the Web either already has a computer or is computer literate. I would expect 1st-time buyers to buy their computers thru retail channels, so they can "shop around", ask the salespeople questions, etc. as opposed to ordering on the phone. I always assumed Dell buyers already knew the system they wanted when buying.
