Apple's Market Share Up?

via MacCNN

>According to a recent PCData report, Apple's market share jumped a full point at the end of last year from 4.9 to 5.9% of the market. If true, this is great news. With the shipment of over 133,000 G3 machines, future percentages could possibly be all the better.

The Apple online store may be doing wonders for Apple. With a current revenue of well over $150,000,000 since its launch back on November 10th.<

Can anyone confirm a) the market share data and b) the $150 million in online sales?

Pat your are right the "2.2 mln shrs." was a smart buy

AAPL's latest EDGAR 4-S-/A resulted in less shares for Power and less dilution .

The earlier filing set the stage for recapturing some of the Power charge in 1Q but the new filing defers that event unless ammended .

Most EDGAR filings are changeable . Haven't fully read AAPL's latest but it looks good for shareholders .

AAPL's 1/14/98 1Q positive EPS benefits without Power's shares . Power has now set its shareholder meeting for disolution for 1/26/98 .

AAPL follows it with a 1/28 InterNet exposition , the annual report mailing , the board's $23/shr (income) proxy , and the 2/3 meeting .

12/23/97's 2.2 mln shrs had a single uptick after it whereas today's 500K block had many neutral or up ticks following it .
