Steve,
Sorry have nothing to copy to screen.
Chaplinsky of H&Q expects march quarter earning to
be down relative to the Dec quarter. Decline
in DRAM prices to continue for next few quarters.
At risk are orders from 3Com expects them to pull
inventory in channel to more reasonable levels.
Also flat wireless chip sales in march quarter.

SteveG,Re:"fairness to Peck". Peck/any analyst have more information
and analysis on the situation than individual. It's their job.

One would not UPGRADE to 'STRONG BUY' (without an agenda) when :

1. the stock was at all time high.

2. asian crisis surfaced (brewing since summer) and future biased to negative.

3. earning came out and wasn't impressing everyone.

4. memory price wasn't holding at that time, anyway.

5. year-end selling, stock shuffuling coming.

...

A point must be cleared on every individual investor mind. They
(the analysts) are in the business of MAKING MONEY for:

1. themselve. 2. themselve. 3. themselve. Nothing else matter.

It is ONLY FAIR when you understand where one stand and where they
stand for.

Only thing a 'downgrade' means is the analyst's firm and circle have
unloaded the stocks. Sitting on the sideline and waiting for the
right time to buy it back.

Do you think they will 'downgrade' when they have a load of the
stock?

Tell me honestly what you think they will do in that situation?

I know what I will do. Downgrade the stock only after I've unloaded
all my holdings, NOT WHEN I KNOW THE PROBLEM.

TO BE FAIR, they are just making a living.
