>>I'm not aware of any big tech centers in Arkansas

The closest thing to tech centers we have are NW Arkansas, where Walmart is developing intense IT operations at this time, as well as JB Hunt and a lot of related operations. Walmart is hiring like crazy now, but they are doing a lot of advanced stuff at a facility in the Valley because they couldn't get the talent here. This area is fed by a lot of smaller IT businesses in diverse fields out of the U of A.

The second area is around Conway, which has serious IT design and development companies which started with Axciom. I see there are a lot of jobs there.

Little Rock has surprisingly little demand.

I would expect NW Arkansas to eventually approach the scope of Amazon's operation. They have just begun to roll out the cashierless check out, but they are playing catchup on their online operations. I would not be surprised if they end up putting 10s of billions into IT operations. Unfortunately, there just isn't that much talent here so they are looking elsewhere to build out infrastructure.
