First thing I noticed in that photograph is the islamic crescent symbol on the ring. Also notice the index finger pointed upwards. This is a universal gang sign hand signal for shahada or "one god" referring to Allah of course.

Mr. X was associated with Farrakhan, until Mr. X was assassinated.
