Charles Lindbergh was a prominent member. He traveled to Germany and praised Hitler for the way he turned the country around. Lindbergh was criticized strongly for that. I'm noticing Dems seem to becoming pretty anti-Israel. Israel != all Jews. So being opposed to Israeli policies is not anti-Semitic. It wouldn't even be anti-Semitic if all the world's Jews lived in Israel. You can oppose the policies and actions of a country and not hate its occupants. Republicans are the ones defending Israel now. It is a big change from the 1970s. And has an awful lot to do with the Republicans courting the evangelicals. Many evangelical Christians consider Israel to be key to the prophecies of the End Times. Then it will be ok for the Jews to drown in a lake of blood. It is part of the prophecy. You guys aren't going to start chipping away at your Jewish vote, are you? Ever hopeful, aren't you? It may be a surprise to you, but many American Jews don't like what is happening to the Palestinians either. Oh BTW, do you know that there are a significant number of Christians in the Occupied Territories? Because they aren't Jews, Israel (mis)treats them like they do the rest of the Palestinians.
