Putin is desperate to find a way to escape the sanctions imposed on he and roughly 265 of his close associates which are "accomplishing so little".

The sanctions don't bother me, and if they don't bother Putin and his 265 pals they should simply pretend not to notice instead of pulling every stunt they can think of to get them reversed.

Puti's latest response was reducing the number of American diplomatic personnel allowed in Russia, which got three of his US consulates closed. We'll see what Puti does next to try to wriggle free of the "inconsequential sanctions". Watch and brief.
