The biggest fire in L.A. history is now almost out because of some rain.

It's hard to describe how big this fire is but it almost completely covers the mountain area from Lake View Terrace to La Canada Flintridge. That area hasn't burned in years so there was lots of fuel. It closed down a major freeway, the 210, for 3 days.

By the way, I stopped in at Hause Creek on the way back to stretch and let the dog out. Got there at 11:30 am and the place was deserted. Only 1 site of tent campers left. Our favorite spots were wide open. It was very, very dry. There is a total fire ban on in the Wenatchee National Forest. Very smokey also from fires burning up on Chinook Pass. They must be dumping water from the dam, as the Tieton River was running as strong as I've seen it in the spring time.Lots of rafters out on the river.
