Happy for you..........listened to my regular talk show guy this morning he said he got 30 inches around him but didn't get flooded (he's on higher ground on a ranch). But his new house has a copper roof and he said they had buckets all round the insides catching leaks... New copper roof shouldn't leak, I think.

RE: water barriers, if they have some that don't take up much room it might be a good idea....but if you get enough warning buying bags of sand and some plastic sheeting will work as well as anything I know....a guy I know used them to protect his garage from an overflowing street drain....

Clean up is a mess and very labor intensive job.....all water soaked sheet rock and fiberglass has to be tossed...

Florida is next...
