Ignore the problem. Give Japan nukes. Believe that China can somehow be coerced into subduing the little tyrant.

Option 1 hasn't worked for the previous 4 admins.. maybe there's an option 4 or 5 we are not aware of.

Either way sitting back believing the dear leader won't pull the trigger could prove costly.

Trump promised instant death to Kim (*1) if he detonated another nuclear weapon (*2) or if Kim fired another long-range missile (*3). Xi privately told North Korea there'd be cut-off if they detonated another nuclear weapon. When Trump made these threats, bart13's shrill death-cackles kept her neighborhood awake at night for an entire week.

Yet in spite Trump and Xi's threats, when Kim ignored their threats and spit in their face, they did absolutely nothing, in fact rather than being cut-off Chinese trade with North Korea has expanded.

The Tibetans, Uighurs and other groups being oppressed by the wastrel Chinese government will definitely want nuclear weapons to curb China's arbitrary power, as is their right. I'm sure Iran, Taiwan, Mexico, Vietnam and groups like ISIS will want nuclear weapons as well. These are all ideal customers for North Korea. In fact TobagoJack opines the world will be more peaceful and gold even more shiny (albeit possibly radioactive) when all of these groups have nuclear weapons, kumbaya.

If Kim dares makes sales of nuclear technology to separatist and terror groups, like he sold to Iran, Trump and Xi can threaten Kim with "fire and fury like the world has never seen" along with "instant hideous death". But what do these empty words mean?

Kim has already ignored the rules Trump and Xi laid out and they responded with NOTHING ! Why is a threat not to sell nuclear weapons to the Tibetans or any other group going to be taken seriously ? ?

1 (fire and fury like the world has never seen before)
2 (Kim subsequently detonated a hydrogen bomb)
3 (Kim subsequently fired three long-range missiles)
