Steve, we appreciate Joe's response but I am sure most of the people on this thread feel that this type of information is too infrequent. It is more than "the gold market" that has affected this stock and you and Fairmile management know it. I personally have never called this stock a "scam", but it most certainly was blatently over-promoted . Most obvious was the "tower of gold" talk. We see little financial support from management ( how many shares do they own), and although Joe states that the drilling objectives were realized in 1997, you have to look at it from our perspective. The A/B/O complex is low grade and we have no clue as to what price it is economic at. If it is not economic at all then this stock is wallpaper. As to the "other promising areas", we have been hearing this talk for two years ( only 10% of the property has been drilled). If I am not mistaken you popped drills into each target yet none of this information has been released to the public. Why? Because it was not worth anything. Some of the targets may indeed still have potential, but from an investor's standpoint we have no information to base any potential on. You and management have to understand that the drills are "the truth machines" and anything else is just speculation and guessing. Hopefully, Joe's feeling of the property potential will come true but we have little or no information on which to base optimism on. On another note Steve, could you please answer the following questions as I believe the information is important: 1. What is the current Cash on hand? 2. What are the 1998 plans for drilling? 3. How will cash be raised in 1998? 4. What is the holding period of Echo's 700,000 shares ? If they dump these on the market we are sunk. As a final note, if you want to see how some other companies deal with investors, go to the Novawest forum here on SI. Pat Obrien gives regular updates, answers questions and in case your wondering check out thier stock chart - they have supported thier stock and have not lost value since metals dropped. EW
