I am completely convinced now, after spending the past 7 weeks watching the daily broadcasts of this amateur Earthquake Forecaster "Dutchsinse" on youtube, that fracking DOES lead to increased seismic activity. He's proved it time and time again by correlating EQs with fracking operations via Google Earth.. His argument is that we've been drilling hundreds of thousands of wells, and fracturing the earth's crust in areas that were once "solid" and therefore weakening it. Same with nuclear weapons test areas in Nevada.. (which STILL get hit will small quakes years AFTER the explosions).. And on the "positive" side, it may actually have benefit as it provides a channel for pressure to be released in a swam of low-power quakes, rather than pressure building up to the point where a major quake occurs.. (ie: New Madrid seismic zone downstream from the fracking operations).. His premise of energy transfer (Transmigration) from one EQ location to other parts of the plates, remains very controversial. But over the 8 years he's been doing his research (most of it broadcast and available online) he's proven that there is something to his methodology.. I watched him have a 100% accuracy rate a few weeks ago (within a 1/2 to 1 full magnitude and 200km of actual epicenter). He actually forecast that Mexico was about to get hit back on the 5th and 6th, but I recall he predicted it to be a 5-6 magnitude. But he WAS predicting a M7-M8 to hit somewhere on the pacific plate.. and that apparently occurred in Mexico.. (moved the plate boundary by a reported 32 feet of lateral movement).. I'd say, and he admits, that his forecasting accuracy is about 79% (I'd say more like 50-75% over the time I've watched him), but that is still much better than current "science" which has us believe that NO Earthquakes can be forecast with any specificity (with a week or two).. and that they are random.. When you have time, and if you're interested.. you can view his daily broadcasts here.. Even if you don't buy into his theories, you'll learn alot about where various volcanic fields and fracking operations are located and see the correlation with seismic activity. And you'll see how he uses EQ 3D for his briefings.. An incredible program.youtube.com
