Financial Astrology's Newsletter Pegs U.S. Stock Market Decline
of January 8 to the Day, 5 Weeks in Advance

HONG KONG, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Rebecca Nolan, editor of ''Financial Astrology'' newsletter, forecast this week's hard decline
of U.S. stocks -- including in particular the 99.65-point drop in the Dow Jones Industrial Average of January 8 -- with remarkable accuracy and some five weeks ahead of the actual event. Published on December 1, 1997, Ms. Nolan targeted the first week of January, and particularly January 8, as the hardest decline since the week of December 8-12 -- which she also predicted well in advance.

Ms. Nolan is the advisor who, in her issue of August 1 of ''Financial Astrology,'' forecast Black Monday (October 27, 1997 -- the Dow
Jones Industrial Average decline of 554 points) to the day.

Regarding the week of December 8-12, Ms. Nolan stated in her newsletter of December 1, ''The dates in December where significant
falls occur will be on December 10, 11 and 24.'' December 24 marked the lowest trading day in December for the Dow.

Based on internal analysis, the newsletter says it has been approximately 80% correct on a weekly trend basis over the past three years.

On a weekly trend basis, it has also been correct 5 of the last 6 weeks with its forecast of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.
