Don, so very well said, I fully agree with you, we were truly blessed that we were saved a genuine apocalypse... I did exactly what you just said, we looked around at our beautiful home and area and thought to ourselves that it is likely to be completely gone in just another few hours... and the build up of that kind of tension for more than a week can get a bit unnerving...

My wife and I are very well skilled in primitive survival methods and were fully prepared and expected to go without power and shelter for a long time and to forage and fish and set traps for food, although we're fully stocked with plenty of food, water, and many necessities that would last us for the first several months... but still, we breathed a big sigh of relief and will forever be grateful that we didn't have to do any of that...

Interesting that you lived in Japan... I also lived in Japan for a few years, near Fukuoka, actually in Hakata on the southern island of Kyushu, about 12 miles NE of Itoshima and about 70 miles NE of Nagasaki... although I did a lot of traveling all over Japan when I was there... I loved it there...
