Trump to meet with ‘Nancy and Chuck’ on TAX REFORM

Sep. 13, 2017 2:19 pm by The Right Scoop

DACA was just the first phase of Trump’s new bipartisan effort. Now he’s trying to get ‘Nancy and Chuck’s’ input on tax reform to try and get Democratic support for it:

WASHINGTON TIMES – President Trump will host Congress’ Democratic leaders at a White House dinner Wednesday, as he continues to seek bipartisan buy-in for tax reform and other top priorities.

The White House added the president’s dinner with Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to a schedule that already included bipartisan meetings to cultivate support for tax reform.

The president has been looking to make more deals with Mr. Schumer and Mrs. Pelosi after they struck a deal on the debt limit and spending last week.
Mr. Trump was already scheduled to meet with more than a dozen lawmakers from both parties Wednesday afternoon.

It’s part of an aggressive push by Mr. Trump to pass tax reform.

If Trump is truly seeking input from Nancy and Chuck, then that can only mean that Trump intends to push the much anticipated tax-reform toward the mushy middle. Which means it won’t be nearly as profound as it could be if he gets his way.

It remains to be seen if Republicans will allow him to do this. After all, if they can pass significant tax reform out of both houses and send it to Trump’s desk, he’d be a fool not to sign it just because Democrats didn’t vote for it. And to be honest, I’m pretty sure he would sign it because he loves ‘victory’.

The point is really that Republicans hold the true power here on tax reform and if they concede to Trump’s new bipartisanship or their own squishy moderate RINOs, then they will be to blame on this even more so than Trump.

I took one for the team today and listened to Rush while driving around for work (it's more bearable if you are getting paid while listening). He mentioned several times that Trump working together with Chuck and Nancy is not going to bother his supporters one bit. You see, Trump is a doer. And if the Republicans in Congress aren't going to work with him to advance his agenda, he'll work with anybody he has to in order to "do" things. A caller said he thought it was hilarious that Trump is working with Chuck and Nancy because that's sticking it to Ryan and McConnell. He figures they are pouting like a bunch of babies over it, and that's awesome, as far as he's concerned. Rush continued to gush on and on about how nothing can separate Trump from his supporters - because he has such a personal bond with them. Sounds like the definition of a cult to me, but what do I know?

Trump's entire campaign appears to have been one massive lie. No amnesty for illegals, border security, prosecution of Hillary Clinton, pulling our troops out of the Middle East... Take your pick. They were all lies.

The word is CON. His entire campaign was a massive CON.

How would Trumpsters feel if McConnell or Ryan said they were going to work with Chuck and Nancy on tax reform?
