The night before it was due, I wrote a paper on why Popeye cartoons should be banned. My teacher laughed out loud and put a big fat F on the paper in front of the class. I argued for the rest of the period to prove I had met all his criteria for research and had supported my position as well as any other student had on their papers. He had no counter argument so he grudgingly changed my grade. Of course it was a joke, but the teacher was a good sport about it. Us kids laughed our asses off in the hallway after class. I loved Popeye and thought Betty Boop was hot but hey look what's happened in this crazy world. Popeye is banned. lol
