Between 1947 and 1977 GE dumping 1.3 million pounds of PCB's into the Hudson River... GE was forced to dredge millions of tons of river mud between 77 and now costing them billions of dollars. Much of the PCB's are still there. Many towns still get their water from the Hudson after being treated.... Strangely there have been no reliable studies of the effect on the fish in the Hudson....have never been any big fish kills or birth defects in fish....a serious study is under way. The Hudson, all the way down to NYC, is very clean now compared to 50 years ago...
