Donald just sent me a petition to sign if I want the wall. I signed it and it went directly to contribute to DJT. I would contribute to the cost of building the wall, why hasn't that fund started?

NOW we know it's false. When she wrote it that's what we were being told.

but that is completely false information.
Who knows what to believe. I posted that last night after several pro-Trump people took to the twitterverse to condemn the "deal" Trump had struck with Schumer and Pelosi. Both of them came out and said they had a deal that didn't include the wall. Schumer reiterated it on the floor today - no wall.

Paul Ryan came out today to say that funding for the wall would be included in the appropriations bills that they are going to come out with.

Trump issued 3 different clarifications today, which didn't really clarify anything. He said the wall would be built but the funding would come later. He said he was working with the Democrats on DACA.

They're all still doing what DC pols do. Talk, talk, talk. Rumor, rumor, rumor. Denial, denial, denial. Rinse and repeat.

PS: I like you too. ;)

This is from the New York Times this morning:

WASHINGTON — Democratic leaders on Wednesday night declared that they had a deal with President Trump to quickly extend protections for young undocumented immigrants and to finalize a border security package that does not include the president’s proposed wall.

The Democrats, Senator Chuck Schumer and Representative Nancy Pelosi, said in a joint statement that they had a “very productive” dinner meeting with the president at the White House that focused on the program known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA. “We agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that’s acceptable to both sides,” they said.

But on Thursday morning, the president contradicted the Democrats, saying no deal had been struck. ( Read that article.)

There will be no wall from the Pacific to the GOM. It will not happen. I never thought it would happen. What there will be is meaningful border security - which is what we want and need.

One must always remember Trump is always negotiating. The fool he replaced started his negotiations with from the middle with a bow. Trump starts his negotiations from an extreme position with a growl that allows room to move while still achieving a lot.

I remember the an early quote that went something like this. Trump's critics take him literally but not seriously. Trump supporters simply take him seriously - but not literally.
