Sanctions against Putin and 260 of his close associates is in no way a program of sanctions against 144 million Russians and the Russian economy. If 144 million Russians are prevented from operating their own businesses due to the gangster behavior of 260 Russians who insist on owning a piece of everything potentially profitable, that has to do with the behavior of Putin and his 260 Russian gangsters. Russians can only import food from Syria, Turkey, China and North Korea due to an import ban imposed by Vladimir Putin. The import ban is Putin's attempt to make the ordinary 144 million Russians feel pain similar to the pain he and his 260 associates feel because their private jets aren't allowed to land in playgrounds outside Russia.
