The people who came before me supported slavery.
And not all of them were white.

What are you doing to end the estimated 21+Million enslaved today?

I support our president in going after child sex trafficking, something the Dems and Obama didn't do.

It's always interesting hearing armchair moralists bemoaning the founding fathers and trying to chip away at the fabric of the constitution as some kind of flawed document.......reasonable people realize that it was a totally different world then.

Many of those patriots faced more adversity on a given Tuesday than the average lefty in a lifetime.

"The people who came before me supported slavery."

morality evolves, your holiness. but you don't consider that, do you? turns out slavery was an evolution of morality.

there was a time when slaves didn't exist. that's because the conquerors used execute everyone they conquered. men, women and children. only later some started to think enslavement was better than death. slavery was bad but it was an improvement over outright killing. then slavery became common. and you'd have had nothing against slavery in its early days either.

but it's easy for you to judge those who came before you from your holier than thou perch, isn't it? your virtue signaling is pathetic.

i also read recently that washington and jefferson couldn't legally free their slaves. there were some conditions that had to be fulfilled. i don't know if that's true or not yet, but i do notice how easy it is for leftists like you to sit in judgment of others. you all pretend to be so virtuous when in truth, you're nothing of the sort. leftism is born of selfishness, pettiness and lies.

and one more thing, your holiness, there would have been no USA without the electoral college because none of the smaller states would have agreed to have been ruled by the bigger ones. everything about you leftists is shallow, including your thinking and morality.

Do you support paying reparations as your party does?

The people who came before me supported slavery

Slavery was an accepted given most everywhere at the time. There was a difference where northern European attitudes prevailed. They had stopped enslaving their own and bought blacks, thinking they were an inferior people. Within the context of the time, evidence might have been seen as supporting that belief.

Burgeoning attitudes spreading from the British Isles about the natural rights of man, in conjunction with Christian influence, were laying a foundation for abolition. Here, there would have been no union if slavery was outlawed in the late eighteenth century. Nonetheless our founders laid the foundation to painfully rid this nation of that plague as soon as possible. Not true through most of the world then, even now in some places.

Kenneth, if you have young you care about you really ought STFU and never vote again. Probably too late for you to acquire understanding.
