Now we pay 10 times that and 20% of Americans pay 95% of all taxes. And the deadbeats want to raise taxes on us even more? Fuck that. How about we return to our roots and instill a little sense of independence and can do spirit into our culture again? Why doesn't anyone focus on decreasing spending, so we can ensure our damned government leaders live within their means? If I was in power and could make the rules, the first thing I'd do with respect to the budget is demand that we engage with one of the big accounting firms to create a set of financial statements and pass a law that financial statements need to be created quarterly like all non-profits. Once the American people had access to Federal financial statements, then we could start pressing our leaders to perform like all non-profits and profit organizations, instead of like the insane, engorged beast it has become. The answer isn't a never ending spiral of tax and spend. The answer is to start running our government within a balanced budget. Full stop. For all you liberals out there, we have $20 trillion in debt. It is damned IMMORAL of you to continue to add to this and saddle future generations with a bankrupt country. Of course, the conservatives out there aren't much better. All of our leaders love to spend our money, damn them to hell.
