Still, It also appeared to me that todays action did have more of a retail "flavor" to it. There was 65K traded at aout 3:08 followed by two quick trades of 25 and 30K minuts later. That accounted for 125K of total volume..and the market was very nervous with the DOW dwn 100 at that time and most of any life on the NASDAQ coming only to the big cap stocks. Earlier in week there were more 10-30k transactions totaling high volume. Some biotechs like MCDE and MLNM have done well last 2 days, but on low volume coincident only with the hiring of new staff I sold covered FEB calls on my techs today & am quessing that the drug area--especially co's with alliances with the big firms, might a safer, more defensive, play right now. Who really knows? My luck hasn't been the best lately. I did pick up another 500 shr of LGND today a 12 5/8ths though--so I quess I'm "hooked" like the rest of you. Hopefully Henry N did well in the area of biochemistry at USC.. The more CEO's talk about how the Asia problem won't afffect their particular company, the more leary I become, especially after January's big $$$ input tapers off.....we shall see
