Indoor growers use supplemental CO2. 1/3 of marijuana is grown indoors. In CA, indoor marijuana cultivation accounts for 9% of your state's electrical use. 4 indoor marijuana plants use the same electricity as 29 refrigerators. Every pound of pot grown indoors puts 4600 lbs of CO2 in the atmosphere.

Did you know that cutting up a willow branch (like the size of your finger) and letting it soak for a few days in a bucket of water will promote root development in young plants? They produce a lot of a natural rooting chemical that works on tomatoes and pretty much all plants. Would work on your "potato" plants too.

Another thing about willow sticks is they naturally have a lot of salicylic acid, which promotes seed germination and strengthens plants (all species) immunity.

Oh yeah, about that salicylic acid, you can dissolve a small aspirin in a gallon of water and spray it on your plants every 3-4 weeks. It'll be good for 'em.

CO2 promotes plant growth:

If those were marijuana plants instead of pine seedlings, you'd see similar results.
