DRAM prices seen higher. Article below:
Can someone who knows DRAM/memory products explain
to me why MU would benefit and not TXN (or did the downgrade
today overshadow all)

Jim:
I think 7k txnau today is very strange, which showed someone do not
think TXN will close above $45 on expiring day, and write calls big
time. But I remember someone sold large Jan 100 puts and bought
Jan 95 calls big time a few days pre-split as well which is bullish.
That tells me someone is rich out there, or he knows something,
or he is just playing to protect downside.
My folks said DRAM price firmed at bottom for last few monthes.
at least for DRAM makers. I do not know H&Q and Cowen is try to
get an entry point or not, but DRAM prices is not going to affect
TXN earning that much for 1998; since price downside is very limited,
and upside is around corner.
I may consider buy some when TXN goes to 37.5. If earning for INTC is positive next week, I may not get the chance to buy txn.
Good luck

In fact the JAn 37.5 CALL had the most action (over 7K) and were down.
Does this option activity indicate much more downside, or should we be contrarian, and buy here in the mid
40s.
